06/20: Building MOFs using nanorods on cotton fabrics

This paper is the great work of doctoral student Marion Schelling with the amazing collaboration of Manuela, Myriam and Eugenio.  It is amazing to see individual Zinc Oxide nanorods coated with a metal organic framework ZIF-8 via  STEM-HAAD  microscopy.  This paper describes how fabrics of cotton coated with these core-shell structures efficiently capture Arsenic hence opening applications of these materials in water purification processes.
